The Junior Roles Programme provides young people with opportunities to build confidence, responsibility, communication and leadership skills through practical roles within the Acorn Project.

Participants learn through experience, reflection and active involvement while contributing positively to their project, peers and community.

Young people will develop skills in teamwork, communication, self-awareness, responsibility and problem-solving while gaining recognition for their achievements through digital badges.

Content

The Creative Assistant role provides young people with the opportunity to explore their creativity while developing confidence, communication and teamwork skills. Through art, music and media activities, participants will discover their own interests, support others in creative projects and contribute to the creative life of the Acorn Project.

Throughout the programme, young people will work collaboratively with their peers, experiment with different forms of creative expression and develop a project that reflects their ideas and talents. As they progress, they will build confidence in sharing their work, encouraging others to participate and reflecting on how creativity can support wellbeing, identity and personal growth.

By completing this role, participants will gain practical experience of working as part of a team, supporting creative activities and recognising the positive impact that creativity can have on themselves and their community.
