This workshop is all about reflection, collaboration, and action. Together in small groups, we’ll take stock of the progress made on Youth Work Ireland’s Strategic Statements and explore how we can sharpen our focus for even greater impact in the years ahead.

As we move into the second half of our strategic plan, this event is a chance for members to shape the direction of the federation — strengthening our efforts around support, communications, advocacy, and impact. Your insights and experiences will directly help us to refocus, celebrate what’s working, and identify where we can be even bolder.

Through interactive discussions and group work, participants will contribute to:

Communications
Showcasing the value of youth work, youth participation, and youth clubs — telling our collective story in powerful, creative ways that celebrate the positive change we bring.

Advocacy
Harnessing local lessons and stories from Member Youth Services to build strong, national policy messages that highlight youth work as a driver of better outcomes for young people.

Support
Reaffirming the strength of our federal model and exploring how we can best support Member Youth Services with practical tools — from governance and safeguarding to digital agility and quality standards.

Impact
Capturing practice and advocacy lessons from across the federation, and spotlighting innovative approaches that can be scaled and shared.

This is not just a workshop about looking back — it’s about shaping the future of Youth Work Ireland together. Your voice matters. Your experience matters. And by working collectively, we can make sure the federation continues to be a powerful, visible, and impactful force for young people across Ireland.
