This workshop is to provide workers/volunteers identified as an ID Verifier with the appropriate skills and knowledge to sign and validate Garda Vetting forms.
It is facilitated by Niamh Codd, Youth Work Ireland Compliance Officer and due to new requirements from the National Vetting Bureau, it is now mandatory for all ID verifiers to complete this workshop and verify their learning through Youth Work Ireland.

This course is for workers/volunteers who have been identified as an ID Verifier in their local youth service. Their responsibility is to sign and validate Garda Vetting forms whilst ensuring that the information provided to them is accurate and true.
The participant will undergo 4 tasks for the duration of their badge;
Task 1: Watch the online workshop by Niamh Codd, Youth Work Ireland Compliance Officer.
Task 2: Write a short reflective piece
Task 3: Complete the quiz provided once the online workshop has been completed.
Task 4: Complete an evaluation of the overall experience of the workshop.
Task 5: Provide your full name and Member Youth Service - this is required for issuing of certificates.
