Welcome to the Acorn Project!
You can use this "Smaoinigh Mor - Think Big!" Learning Playlist to earn digital badges throughout your learning journey in the class. Check out the different activities below to see what you can get badges for. These badges support your learning beside the topics and issues you discuss in the class. They are evidence for your attendance, your engagement, your group work and much more!
The badges represent the skills you gain while being in class, engaging with others and working on your graduation. At the end, you can generate a certificate with all your badges and you can even add it to your CV!
This way you can participate in the playlist and the individual activities:
To try it how it works, follow the instructions (you will find them in each of the activities, too) and earn your first badge in the first activity called "Introduction".

This badge is designed to go alongside your Challenging Discrimination module. In the module, you’ve been learning about what prejudice and discrimination look like, why they happen, and how they affect people. You’ve also been building important skills like listening, empathy, and respectful dialogue to help you respond in a positive way when faced with different views, backgrounds, or cultures.
This badge gives you the chance to stop and think about what this means for you. It’s about recognizing unfair treatment when you see it, and practicing how you can play a role in creating a more respectful and inclusive environment.

The owner of this badge has completed the required tasks for the Challenging Discrimination activity which forms a part of the learning playlist Smaoinigh Mor - Think Big! The skills, knowledge and attitudes gained and demonstrated through completing these tasks include:
- Understanding what Challenging Discrimination means.
- Reflection on their knowledge gained during this activity.
- Reaslising skills they've learned or improved on.
