Specifically, this badge recognizes young people who participate in local Youth Climate Justice groups for their:
- Learning and development about climate justice in Ireland and the world through their participating in training, workshops and events.
- Learning and about local climate justice issues through exploring, investigating, discussing and debating what is happening in their local environment.
- Activism and advocacy for climate justice through their promotion of climate justice issues in their locality and engagement of decision makers.
